Rollerball pens
Needle-tipped rollerball pens are essentially a type of ballpoint pen , both based on the same technology - a pen with a tiny steel ball fixed at the end. The center of the ball is surrounded by a metal cone to which a tube containing ink is attached. The movement of the ball is free, and as a result of its friction against the paper, it rotates and spreads a layer of ink on the surface of the paper from one side and is wetted with ink on the opposite side.
The difference between them is that the ink in a ballpoint pen is much thicker than the liquid ink in "needle-point" or "roller ball" pens, so for smooth, uniform, and fluent writing, some people prefer roller pens.
